How would you react if your soon to be retired father told you about a soon to be born chota mehman? It's unimaginable, isn't it?
I was compelled to watch this film after the most intriguing trailer of 2018 was out.
The story is about a typical middle-class Delhi family who goes through a not so conventional situation.
I loved the fact that the casting was done with tremendous effort and smartness.
Yaar it's Khurrana's year, first Andhadhun and now Badhaai Ho.
The dadi (Surekha Sikri) was definitely the hero of Badhaai Ho apart from the script. Her one-liners are something to look forward to.
The film is extremely real on the depiction of Dilli ke log, the situation, and the consequences that follow.
On one hand, Namaste England had a huge budget, big stars, and extraordinaire locations but lacked even an average script. On the other, here's a movie about a strangely funny situation shot on average locations with big actors.
This crisp 2 hour long film managed to impress the whole theatre and made a place for itself amongst the handful of remarkable films in 2018.
Even though the subject may seem like a non-family kind, I urge you all to watch this one with your families.
Needless to say, choose Badhaai Ho over Namaste England.
Which film did you watch? Tell me in the comments.
