Namaste England Movie Review: Mallika Dua Steals The Show

PC: Siasat

"Duniya aaj bhi ek hi cheez pe kayam hai ... jiski wajah se duniya kayam hai ... pyaar"

Cast: Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor
Directed By: Vipul Amruthlal Shah
Genre: Romance, Drama

I genuinely feel it's high time Bollywood thinks ahead of the pehli nazar mein pyaar and clichรจ ways of showing how women are repressed in the society.

Jasmeet (Parineeti Chopra) has only two goals in life - one is to settle in England and the other is to marry Param (Arjun Kapoor).
They meet, fall in love, and get married over a song. The rest of the film is all about how Jasmeet will do just about ANYTHING to get residency in England.
Because of this, we were put through 2 hours and 20 minutes of utter crap.

I felt like some writers think the audience is naive so they churn a story around anything and everything.
There are a few funny moments but overall you can laugh at the film and not with it.
I'm one of those who loved Arjun and Parineeti's chemistry in Ishaqzaade but I can wait for a good script!

They thanked Akshay Kumar in the starting of the film - was it because of Arjun Kapoor's desh bhakti waali speech? Or because they used the Namaste of Namaste London?
P.S. this isn't a sequel and thank god for that!

I enjoyed the music, but then there's YouTube for that. And the 2 scenes which had Mallika Dua and her goofiness in it were hilarious. Not worth your money.

Badhaai Ho released this week too and I'm a 100% sure this should be your weekend watch!
