Stree Movie Review: "O Stree, Roz Aana"




Don't refrain from watching Stree; the trailer downplayed the film completely.

The film stars my current favorite jodi - Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi, who has starred in a handful of films and have never disappointed. Despite the unappealing trailer, I went to the theatre, just for them.

I see big things for Apartshakti Khurrana, who, by the way, delivers one whistle-worthy dialogue after another.

Stree is enjoyable to the T and leaves you with something to think about! Though the combination of events the film was adapted from is bizarre, the movie makes complete sense.
It revolves around the subject of equality in society, but in a totally entertaining, non-preachy manner.  

When there's a good amount of laughs, spooks, dialogue baazi and songs laid in front of you, what's not to like? Bollywood, please make more films like this okay?

Namaste England Movie Review: Mallika Dua Steals The Show

Jasmeet (Parineeti Chopra) has only two goals in life - one is to settle in England and the other is to marry Param (Arjun Kapoor). They meet, fall in love, and get married over a song. The rest of the film is all about how Jasmeet will do just about ANYTHING to get residency in England. Because of this, we were put through 2 hours and 20 minutes of utter crap. I felt like some writers think the audience is naive so they churn a story around anything and everything. There are a few funny moments but overall you can laugh at the film and not with it.
